I was informed about this site by Russell way back in Februrary 2004, one
month after the site was born. When I saw the site I was mesmerized by its name and the contents it had that time. 3DAllusion has changed a lot since that time and I am now more than happy to be a part of the 3DAllusion team and we all are trying to take this site into a next level.
Well, something about me. I am not at all from architectural background. I started my education in a traditional way and graduated in commmerce, economics, accounts and business maths. But I had a keen interest over art and architecture from the very beginning. I used to draw a lot on paper and was more interested in using sketch to represent light and shadow on paper.
My hands on computer started when I took an extensive course on programming during my graduation. I learnt from C, C++ to VC and VB and from WIN platform to UNIX and Linux. But soon after I finised the study I felt my interest is somewhere else and I should respond to my instinct. I joned a course on 3d modeling and animation since I was amazed by the VFX shown in films like Jurassic Park, ET and some other I forgot by now. I started with 3D Studio Max R 2.5 and Photoshop 3 and thus began my journey. Slowy my interest in 3d modeling moved towards modeling architecture, be it exterior or
inteior. I started collecting lots of magazine and journals containing good references. As pure hobbist I started collecting articles and pictures related to all forms of architectuyral styles including Barroque, Cathedral, Gothic, British colonial, Egyptian, Hybrid Indian, Islamic, Renaissance, Neo-classic and so on.
I am currently working with an architectural company. I am heading 3d modeling and rendering dept and my responsibility involves modeling and rendering of Exteriors and Interiors from CAD drawings, sketchs and raw 3d models. I am enjoying my works a lot. I am also doing lots of freelance architectural related work. Mainly modeling and rendering Exteriors and Interiors.
Beside my main profession I am also into lots of writing. I co-authored three books and few other articles on 3ds max, general graphics and animation for a reputed content developing company. My other interests include astrology, researching on ancient architectural marvels, mysterious disappearance of ancient intellegent civilization incl. Inca and Maya and some more. I am also a
vivid reader of psychology books and did extensive study on this for the last 3-4 years and saved a couple of people in their life by giving them proper guidance as consultant, as a hobbist, again. My main area of study is general psychology, inter personal reltionship, studing gesture and behaviors and grapholgy where I am now a mild expert. I simply love doing this.
Before I finish I would like to thank Russell for providing a platform for me to write and contribute something to the 3d community and getting to know a lot of diffferent people from diffrent country and interests.
