Smile Exposure Control

Hi everybody!
This is my first post, and I want to say thanks for this wonderfull forum.
I'm new user of Max and MR and all tips and information will be great in my carrer. Well let's go..I have some doubt about Exposure Control.

1- Should I select "Process background and Environment Maps" in the "Mr Photographic" ?

2 - I should to use "Exposure Value" or "Photographic Exposure" adjustments in my renders?

Thanks again.
I'm sorry for my poor english, I'm brazilian and I new student in english.

Re: Exposure Control

The Defualt values are very good to start out with and tweaking sampling and lighting solutions is where I would start for changing settings. Either EV or Photographic Exposure work well, but the latter gives you more options to tweak settings like a camera. I keep things as simple as possible until I need to make it more complicated, so sometimes I leave EV on.

In general you should go to our other site MrMaterials.com and read all of Jeff Pattons Blog entries, you should find most of the information you need to get started and take you to the "Next Level", I think it is one of the best resources on the net for Max mr users.

Good Luck!

Re: Exposure Control

welcome to the forum, K. as Russell may have pointed out, Jeff Patton's blog and Master Zap's blog can be extremely helpful places to learn more about MR. But i am sure you can find other useful tutorials on the web depending on your needs.

how did you come up with your username? i am curious because that's actually the name for a plug-in developed by frantic film

Re: Exposure Control

Very intersting the plugin, but not is about the plugin "Krakatoa".
Five years ago, I made a montain for to simulate a eruption of 1883 volcano Krakatoa in a project science in university, but something happened wrong and....it blew up before the hour...rs....rs...project ruined! Of course!!!!
It was as soon as I gained this nickname, the guy of "massive explosions"...
Thanks for tips site of MR.
Krakatoa.
