1. are contestant allowed to touch the main structure of the model ( say for redevelopment of the scene, or in case some structure is affected by the theme selected), if so how far they can go
2. how about the presentation ( deliverables), was it photorealistic approach or they can use a non-photorealistic rendering (NPR) or as long as it suffice what the assignment requires they are free to choose whatever presentation they want.

1. Contestants can modify and add to the main structure as long as the main structure is "recognizable" in the final alteration and image/rendering.
Basically meaning that you have to be able to tell the structure we provided was used, you can modify or add to it, etc. but we want to recognize some of it the final. Creating the context is a lot of the challenge, I could see the structure loosing the foundation and be located in a tree as a tree house, or on stilts on a lake...... Really up to the contestants, some form of the modular pre-manufactured structure we provided must be used and be apparent in the image.
2. Any type of image consistent with the practice of architectural visualization is acceptable, it can be stylized or photo realistic, just has to WOW the judges and meet the criteria.
You are welcomed to take part. We have folks from all over the world here, and all are welcome.
You can do any type of visualization that is used to visualize architecture. I'm not real sure what you are asking about, "what type of render should do", but just stay within the rules and you'll be fine. You'll find that there is a lot of help here as you go forward.

First, welcome to the forum. May you have a good time in here.
Secondly - yes you can use the base model provide herein. no need to model another. Goes around the challenge rules to see what is need to do. The assignment mention is in general not individual. It means that those items listed are the thing you will do in taking part of the challenge. My advice, take another walk around, i mean read it again and so you will fully understand.
I understand with individuals that English is a second language that it might be hard to fully understand the instructions.
Basically you DO NOT have to use the site we provided, but you do have to use our base building model to the point where we can recognize a portion of it in your final image. You can add to it, modify it, but in the final image we have to recognize that you used the model or a recognizable portion of it.
This really came about due to the fact that when we provide a scene more people participate than when we made people model from scratch. We are allowing a lot of flexibility in how much you modify it, but to keep some consistency in entrys, we require our structure to be recognizable in the final image. You could for example change the roof......
I usually like to name my work after i finish it, according to feeling it gives me. Can i make some proxy name, and rename my thread later on? (Is renaming threads allowed?)

I think only moderators or admin can re-name threads (you/member can rename your first post but title stays same if memory serves me correctly), but we will gladly rename it for you when you are ready, just let us know.
