Nice idea Rod, Very detailed study, like your concept.

ok, first building, the sewer treatment package plant bunker and operations office. Still need sidewalks and the like so very much a work in progress.
Just curious, should I try to somehow do a cutaway to show the package plant? or, could the package plant image just be a lost image? Your comments always welcomed!

Nice update, not sure I'm for the cutaway idea. You don't want your image to look like a schematic.

Well, didn't get as far as I wanted, but have begun the process for the townhomes. Everything so far has been achieved by using various parts of the model. Some changes have been made to the roof lines and the like, but still pretty much all still there.
I tried to keep the structure such that I could use "Superior Walls". Superior Walls® - Simply Superior™ I've looked at these panels and toured a plant. For many circumstances it makes great sense using them. As so many of the panels are being interchanged between various building types, economies of scale should play into the equation of final costs. For the "what the heck are those yellow things" questions, well they are the start of an EV charging station.

more to come on these.... it'd be hard to tickle the grass in your bare feet LOL.

Nice start on the townhouse, almost looks more like a storefront.

I would show a shot farther back that shows enough building that it feels like the original is in there, IMHO. This angle kind of looks like the entry window units were used in a new structure to me Maybe a different angle shows more spirit of original structure?

Of course you can intermingle other building types with the original structure.

Re: Rod Thonen dynamic sustainability. a community concept

I'll back off the view, what the front is, is the garage side. The door/window combo from the main entry, added a couple of window groups and made the little window a bit larger. Didn't show the side on purpose didn't do much to it so far, but have ideas. The roofs with the panels are the same as the roof over the front with a pitch to fit the angle of the dangle...

Awww you made me blush LOL. I'll mention it again, that I'm not in the challenge for the judging part. So ya'll don't pay attention to the man behind the curtain (reference to the wizard of oz) hehehe. Don't want those funky flying monkeys to foul up anyone else's work.
