    Re: Greenhouse at sea

At the moment I am very busy with modeling the house and interior. I hope to have the mainstructure ready tommorrow evening.
I model most of it in sketchup and transfer it bit by bit to 3dsmax. To model the terrain i really want to learn more about Vue but i think i don't have enough time left for that so i think i have to do this in 3dsmax. I have no plug-ins other than i have installed to free-version of the forest-pack from Itoo. Problem with that is that the free forest-pack is a great tool, but i can't use it on a hilly terrain. I need to be creative!
I have seen other the WIP's of other contesters and i know i have to work harder -> good challenge! It inspires me! Thanx guys!

    solar boiler on the roof

I am still modeling.... and I put in the solar panels on the roof including a boiler of 150 liters. This boiler is also connected to de Phase Change Material-system and the air-heater.
Tommorrow i will have to assign colors/materials to all faces so i can translate those colors to materials in 3dsmax.
I almost forgot... still have to model the kitchen... ... but i like it. I cant wait to assign materials.

And a little grass/flowers on the roof. This is just a test. I will do this in 3dsmax... probably with the fur or i will scatter it. Depending if my laptop likes me....

looking good, it'll be neat to see how you take it to the next step. You might want to investigate tilting your solar panels to optimize them a bit.

    Kitchen and topview

    Hi,
Thnx for your comments! It inspires me!
I have done the kitchen and hopefully tonight i can start materialising
@Rod: You are completely right! I have checked this site for the best angle, depending where i want to locate my scene... but when i stay in The Netherlands the angle will be around 52 degrees.
    Check: Solar Angle Calculator
    Thnx!!

    first POV

Hereby my first testrender of my 1st POV. Always a struggle to get the lighting right with an inside and outside image...
GI-settings vs. Photometric lighting. I use MR in 3ds for rendering. Positive of MR is that once you have the right balance the lighting is well and easy to manipulate.
So, first get all lighting done and then materialise everything.

General help
The MGC Chatbox Evo is really easy to use

You can :
  1. Send chats : you just have to enter the text in the dedicated input field and then to validate it by pushing the return key ou by clicking on the OK button.
  2. Format the chats :
  3. once you un-collapse the chatbox formatting toolbar by clicking on the BBCode button, you have access to different formatting options for your chats. You can format a chat by selecting a part (or the totality) of it and then select one of the buttons/list. You can also add empty formatting tags by selecting nothing and clicking one of the buttons/menu thus allowing you to add the chat text afterwards between these tags.*
  4. Access to the different channels : you can have access to different channels restricted to only some usergroupds or for specifics use of the chatbox. The different channels are accessible from the buttons on the left of the chatbox.*
  5. Edit your chats (or others chats) : the edition of a chat can be done by a simple double-click on it.*
  6. Use specific commands : some commands can be accessible in the chatbox depending on the will of the administrator(s) of your forum. These commands let you execute specific actions of formatting, management, etc... You will herebelow the information on the command which are accessible to you. You must notice that you are not forced to use the command prefixes (/command_name) when you use them in the channel they are attached to (except in the general channel).*
* : Depending on the settings chosen by the administrator(s) of the forum, you might not have access to all these features.
