Vehicle Design - Repair ShopCars, trains, planes and spaceships to name some of the items that fall under this catagory. In addition, weaponry may be posted here! WIP's
The rims where probably limited to 924, 944 and 968's. I haven't been keeping up with cars lately, no need to have the wants, so I am not up to speed on the recent models

I think it was more the HP, the big rear end, mickey thompson tires and the exhuberence of youth... i used to love to wear out tires in the most stupid of ways!!!
I learned early with my 47 Chevy to make the weakest point a cheap replacement, so that was the drive line sandwiched between a 9" Ford rearend and a B&N Turbo 350 transmission. I bought the the drive lines in pairs and had the shop shorten them and provide U-joint kits for both sets. That way when I spun a drive line I just had to go home and grab the spair. I learned earlier on to have a heavier duty U-joint system put on the front so that it was the back one that twisted apart. Scary as hell to have the front of the dirve line fall and try to pole vault you
Aaahhhhh! the craziness of youth!

Awesome! This comment in no way is intended to critique the work you have already done, just point out (verify with your resource images) what really adds that extra bit of realism to a car model. That is the drilled holes in the rotor to keep it cool during heavy breaking sessions. I am talking about the radiating lines of drilled holes in the brake rotor that the caliper pads squeeze.
Excellent work and I am not trying to add more work to the awesome modeling you are doing already, I just thought I would mention an item that takes a model and image over the top IMHO. If this Porsche doesn't have them, I apologize.

I was thinking the task may be a bit daunting if you are modeling using sub D's
