    Porsche WIP

Long time no post. Found some time to make a Porsche (Carrera GT), about half a days work. The symmetry modifier is making the car a bit skewy but it will be fixed at the end. Of course C&C welcome.

Looking real good! Rolling in (thickening) around edges like the wheel wells add a log of realism to car models and makes them look less CG IMHO. You are not done so it isn't very fair to say too much yet, very nice start, you can do it all

Sure, that is why I didn't want to say to much yet, it is looking good! I took front, and back shots of my 47 Chevy at Thanksgiving, hoping to get a chance to try and model it. Never done a car before

    Re: Porsche WIP

Yep this is my second attempt at modelling a car, my first was about 4 years ago And that one did not go that well

The lights need some reworking I see, gonna do it later. Is it me or does the Porsche Carrera GT look a bit like a Ferrari without the Porsche logo?

    Re: Porsche WIP

Sure wish I had time to play with modeling a car, still a long way off for me. Heck Jacub, with your fame and fortune you should go out and buy one! LOL. I wish those cars had a bigger foot space. I took a test drive once and had real problems hitting the clutch and brake peddles at the same time, not a good look from outside. The sales guy had some really white knuckles.
Keep going, your talents never cease to amaze me.............

Thanks Rod! Hehe with my fame and fortune I would be lucky if I got a really old model of the Volgswagen beetle without the wheels, engine nor the interior...

What was the fastest speed you took on your test drive? Yeah drivers look quite funny from outside, like dwarfs LOL, just see the head of the driver through the window.

city driving only, so not real exciting. I've always been a fan of the old beetles, but then they too had issues with foot space.... guess size 15 isn't a standard to design to LOL.
